Darren Tells His Secret

One day Darren stopped by the Goth mansion. He thought he would visit with his friend Cassandra and see how things were going with her. Casey answered the door, informing Darren that Cassandra was at work. She invited him in. Darren noticed that Donald was visiting with Casey. Darren had adopted Donald when he was just a toddler after his mother had died.
Casey invited Darren in and the three of them were watching television. Darren felt that now was as good a time as any to tell the two of them the truth. "I would like to talk to the two of you" Darren said to Casey and Donald. Casey had gotten up to go to the kitchen to get them something to drink. At Darren's words, Casey stopped and turned around. "What is it?" she asked.
"Why don't you sit down first" said Darren as he sat next to Donald. "Now, I know what I have to say will come as a surprise to both of you. But, it's something you both have a right to know." Casey and Donald looked at each other as Darren began to tell his story. Darren told them about Donald's mother, Kaylynn Langerak....that she had died tragically in a fire when Donald was just a toddler. Darren had adopted Donald and raised him as his own...but Donald had a father...a father that was still alive. Donald's father was Don Lothario...and Don was also Casey's father. Casey and Don were half-siblings!
"I remember my mother...vaguely. I was little more than a baby when she died" said Donald. "But...I never knew who my father was."
"It's hard to imagine that...when I was a baby growing up here...my father had another baby just a few months older than me. And...that we are really brother and sister!" Both Donald and Casey sat in silence. "I thought about telling you before now. In fact, I was certain that Mortimer had told Don and Cassandra that I had adopted you. He knew about it, you know...before he died. But...he didn't tell. He took that secret to the grave with him. I was so afraid that Mortimer, with all his money, would try to take you away from me. That's why I have kept silent for so long."
The three of them sat in stunned silence, thinking of the words that had just been spoken. They didn't notice Nina standing outside the doorway. How long had she been there...and how much had she heard?
Apparently she had been there long enough....for she went straight to Cassandra and told her everything she had heard.

Casey and Beau

Casey and Beau continued to see each other after graduation. Beau was over almost every day. His relationship with Casey continued to grow.

He loved spending time with her, and could hardly wait to see her again each time he left. Was this love??? Was he in love with Casey??? He only knew that he had to be with her...to see her...or his day would not be complete.
Casey was very quickly falling in love with Beau as well. She couldn't resist his kisses, and would often kiss him if he did not initiate a kiss from her. The two lovebirds seemed oblivious to the others around them. George was a little embarrassed with such a public display of kisses and embraces. He wasn't used to that!
Beau frequently was a guest at dinner. Cassandra enjoyed the opportunity to get to know Beau better. After all, if he was dating her little girl then she wanted to make sure he was worthy of her. She liked Beau and thought he was a nice young man.
George didn't dislike Beau...he just thought that Casey and Beau were just a little too free with expressing their affection towards one another when Georgette was around. After all, she was still young and impressive. He wanted to make sure that Casey was setting the right example for her little sister. When he tried to talk to Casey about it, she became angry with him.
"What's wrong with showing someone that you love them anyway? We're not doing anything wrong!" Cassandra did not like George telling her what to do. After all, she was a grown woman now, wasn't she? And...besides...he wasn't even her father!
Casey felt bad about yelling at George. She just loved Beau so much and couldn't help herself.
Casey was sad. She had looked forward to moving back home...to getting to know her little sister and even George better. She hoped everything would be all right between them all. Her family was so imporant to her.

University Graduates

The three students that were at University finally graduated. Donald (Langerak Lothario) Dreamer graduated and moved into his own house.
Donald is a romance sim (like his real dad Don Lothario).
Beau moved back home with his mom Brandi and step-dad Darren Dreamer, and his little brother Christopher (who will be leaving for University soon).
Casey moved back home with her mom Cassandra and step-dad George and little sister Georgette. I really did not like the default short-short hair that she got, so I changed it as soon as I got her back home. Of course, everybody's clothes got changed from the ugly default ones!
Casey has an interesting look. She looks very much like her mother Cassandra...yet she does seem to favor her dad, Don Lothario, as well.
I suppose having her move back home upset poor Mortimer because her first night back he decided to scare her for sleeping in his bed.

Alex Becomes A Teenager

Alex was excited as he came home from school. Today was his birthday! Angela had planned a small party for him. She had invited his Aunt Lileth and Uncle Dirk, as well as his cousins Joseph and Edward. Alex liked having his cousins over. They were a lot of fun to play with.

"I can't believe that Alex is going to be a teenager already" Angela said to Lileth as she arrived for the party. "It won't be long before your twins will be grown up too!" "Please Angela," said Lileth, "I don't even want to think about that!" Joseph ran into the house to find Alex, leaving the grown-ups to talk.
"Hello ladies!" said Dirk as he walked up the steps to the porch where they stood. Suddenly he grabbed Lileth from behind, kissing up her shoulder and the back of her neck. Angela watched as Lileth melted against Dirk with delight. She loved when he did that! Seeing Lileth and Dirk together reminded Angela of just how long it had been since she and Alexander had been together. She was happy for her sister....but as she watched them...Angela realized that she was missing so much from her life.
Joseph and Edward found Alex upstairs. They turned on the stereo and started dancing the smustle all together. "Let's get this party started early!" said Alex as he danced between his two cousins.
After a dinner of pizza, It was time to bring out the birthday cake. Alex made a wish before blowing out the candles.
Lileth, Dirk and Angela cheered Alex on as he transformed from a little boy into a teenager.

Alex completed the transformation, and looked so much like his father. Angela was amazed at the resemblance that Alex had to Alexander.

Angela had invited William to the party, but he hadn't been able to come because of his job. He promised to drop by after work was over. Angela had been disapointed. She wanted to introduce him to her sister....but there would be other opportunities. William had arrived as promised, though it was late. He and Angela took a dip in the pool and just enjoyed being in each others company. William didn't want to move too fast. He had waited a long time for this. But...it was getting so hard not to kiss her!
While Alex was at school the next day, Angela invited William back over. She had waited long enough. She was a little nervous though...it had been so long! What if she forgot what to do? Angela needn't have worried. As she and William lay together on the bed, Angela knew exactly what to do. Reaching out to William, she leaned into him and kissed him gently on the lips. That gentle kiss exploded into a passion that neither of them could stop until it was quinched.

William had the evening off, so Angela asked him to stay the night. He did have to go home to get his pajamas and a toothbrush, but quickly returned. He was definately looking forward to being with Angela the entire night. The next morning, they ate breakfast and danced in their pajamas. Angela thought it was cute the way their pajamas matched.

Angela just felt happy. It had been a long time since she had felt this carefree and she just wanted to dance and keep on dancing with William. Why had she waited so long?

Authors Note: Angela and William decided to go to bed and 'relax' on their own (thanks to ACR). Of course, relaxation led to woo-hoo. At least neither of them tried for a baby! And...I have no idea why the boys decided to dance in the bathroom of all the rooms in the house!

Angela and William

Alex was worried about his mother...and he really didn't know who to talk to about it. He knew that Dustin and Angela had been very close friends, and so Alex had chosen Dustin to confide in. After the death of both her parents and her husband, Angela had rarely left the Pleasant home. Even though her sister Lileth and her family were often visitors to the house, Angela rarely ventured to visit them. If they wanted to see her they knew they would have to come to Angela's home.

Alex was worried because Angela had been negligent in paying off the bills, just allowing them to pile up near the computer. She figured she would get to them...eventually. It wasn't that she didn't have the money...she did. She just didn't have the energy or the incentive to pay them off. And...today... the repo-man was going to come and start taking some of their things. Alex and Dustin looked out the window as the truck pulled up. Alex looked up at Dustin in question. What were they going to do about it? The repo-man had a job to do, and he went right to work. He very quickly repossessed the items that were listed, and was quickly gone. He knew not to hang around for long once he had gotten what he had come for. Some people tended to get very angry at him. "Don't worry, Alex" Dustin said, "I'll talk to your mom. It'll be okay." Dustin knew that it was time for Angela to face up to the fact that...yes...a terrible thing had happened to her. But...she still had a son that needed her more than ever. It was time...no...past time...for her to get on with her life! Angela wanted to live in the past, while her life was passing her by. As Dustin talked to Angela, he could see that she was getting very upset with him. But he also knew that, for the sake of Alex, Angela needed to move on. At first Angela was very angry with Dustin. How dare he say such things to her!! What did he know about it. He had a wife, a family, children!
"That's true," said Dustin. "But, don't forget. My father died, leaving my mother with 2 sons and another child on the way. But...we made it Angela...and so can you"! When Dustin said this, Angela suddenly realized how wrong she had been. She had thought only about herself...not realizing that others had experienced things just as bad as she had...if not worse. "Thank you Dustin," Angela said. "I don't think anyone else in the world could have gotten through to me today...except for you. Thank you for being such a good friend!" That night Angela stood at the door of Alex's bedroom, watching her son as he slept. "I'm sorry Alex," Angela whispered. "I'm going to try to make it up to you." Walking to his bed, Angela bent down and kissed him gently on the cheek. She loved her son more than she could ever say. The next day, she called William. She had met William at University. He used to hang out with all of them. He had called often to see how she was doing. After Alex's death, William had come over often. After time had passed, he had asked her out on several occasions. Angela had always declined. She just hadn't been ready to date anyone else...not yet. But...was she ready now? She called, inviting him over for lunch.

William had been happy...and completely caught off-guard...to hear from Angela. When she asked him over for lunch, he had happily said yes.

William watched as Angela cooked their soup for lunch. "I hope you don't mind me hanging around in here while you cook" he said. He just wanted to be near her. He thought she was beautiful...though she looked sad at times when she didn't know anyone was watching. William wanted to take the sadness away...and replace it with joy. But how??

Angela set the table as William put the finishing touches to the soup "I'm adding my secret ingredient" he said. "Let me know if you like it!" Angela was impressed. A man who was comfortable in the kitchen...and who was extremely good-looking as well! Just one thing bothered Angela about William. He reminded her in some ways of Alexander. Is that why she was attracted to him?
Angela and William enjoyed a nice lunch and spent the next few hours talking. William was working the evening shift and had to leave for work. But...not before he had the opportunity to flirt a little bit with Angela. He was nervous about it. How would she react to him? Angela was flattered by William's attention, and reacted in a very postive manner. He left with a promise that they would get together again very soon.
"Bring it on!" Angela was ready to get on with her life.

Author's Note: Thanks to Autonomous Casual Romance (ACR) it's easy to figure out who is attracted to whom. Takes a lot of the work out of my hands :) Angela and William seem very compatible.

Continuing The Families Of Pleasantview

Due to popular demand (well...er...just one request...and you know who you are :)), I have decided to continue the story of some of the maxis-made families: Broke, Goth, Pleasant, Lothario, Dreamer...and others. I played a little bit tonight, and will try to make my first post soon.
I changed Angela's look a bit. She's still not terribly pretty...but an improvement. I think she's happy to be taken out of the vault and brought back to life. Nice smile Angela.
