Cassandra Is Expecting

Cassandra stood, looking at her reflection in the mirror. She was definately beginning to show her pregnancy. Cassandra smiled. She thought she would never have any more children...yet...here she was! She was married to a wonderful man...and she was going to have his baby! Even Casey was excited about the new baby.
Cassandra interviewed several applicants for the new position as a nanny. She checked their references very carefully...just as her father had done when Casey was a baby. "Wow. That seems like such a long time ago!" thought Cassandra. She finally found just the person she wanted to hire to take care of her baby. Mortimer occasionally made an appearance, yet he never attempted to frighten anyone. It was almost as though he had continued to look after his family...even after death. He watched as his first grandchild became quite an accomplished painter. He was happy that his only daughter had finally found happiness in marriage.
Mortimer returned to his place of rest as the morning light began to climb.

Casey Paints Cassandra

Casey had been working very hard at her painting. She was becoming quite good at it too. One day she asked Cassandra, "Mom, can I paint you wearing your wedding dress?" Cassandra and George had been married for a few months by now. Cassandra could not refuse her daughter anything. "Of course" she told her as she went to put on her wedding gown.
Cassandra posed for Casey until she grew tired. "I've got to go sit down, Casey", Cassandra told her daughter. Cassandra hadn't been feeling very well for the last few days. "Okay, I'll just have to finish this later then," said Casey. Cassandra went to the couch and sat down. No...she definately wasn't feeling very well. She lay down, thinking she would begin to feel better if she rested. "What is wrong with me?" she thought.
By the next morning, Cassandra had a pretty good idea of what her "problem" was. "I'm pregnant!" she thought, as she threw up in the toilet again.

Cassandra Marries Again

Cassandra and George decided to get married as soon as possible. They would have one of the shortest engagements in Pleasantview ever! "I'm so happy!" Cassandra said, as George hugged her close to him. "So am I, Cassandra, So am I!"
Cassandra and George married in a small ceremony at the Goth mansion. Cassandra had legally had her name changed back to Goth after she and Don had divorced. This time she asked George if he would mind changing his last name to Goth. George didn't mind at all. George is now George Langerak Goth.
George kissed his new bride as the guests watched. Cassandra hoped this marriage would turn out much different than her first one had. The newlyweds - Cassandra and George Goth.

Cassandra Falls In Love

George and Cassandra continued to see each other often. Cassandra found herself staring at George when he wasn't looking. "He is soooo good-looking!" Cassandra thought. He made her feel like a giddy school girl...the way Don had made her feel...a long time ago.
Even though they were divorced, Don continued to stay on at the mansion. He hadn't entirely given up on getting back with Cassandra...but this George guy was making things a lot tougher for Don. Entering the kitchen, Don saw George and Cassandra hugging. "She's not seriously getting interested in George, is she???" Don was not happy about it...not one bit. Cassandra and George have definately fallen in love.
Don found an opportunity to talk to George when Cassandra wasn't around. "I don't like you coming around here and messing around with Cassandra! You need to just get out of here and don't come back!" Don thought that George could be easily intimidated by him, and that he would cool things off with Cassandra.
George was not intimidated in the least by Don. "You just listen to me!" said George, getting right in Don's face. "I'm in love with Cassandra and I'm not going anywhere unless she tells me to. Do you understand that?! If anybody needs to leave, it's you!" Don was certainly surprised by George's reaction.
