Casey Has A Birthday

Casey stood in front of her birthday cake. She had grown up well. Cassandra could hardly believe that her little baby was no longer a baby. She had wanted another child, but had been unable to get pregnant. Of course, if her and Don's sex life had been a little more frequent then perhaps it would be possible! Cassandra didn't believe that Don wanted another child.
Casey stood with her hand on her hip, smiling brightly. She had lived a charmed life. The only sad memory she had was when her Grandpa had died. She had felt sad then. But today she was happy. It was her birthday!
Casey liked it when her mother put her hair in braids. Now that she was older, she could fix it herself any time she wanted.

Don Cleans Up

After Kaylynn's death, Don went over to the house. When he first entered, he could see the damage left by the fire. He immediately set about getting the place cleaned up. As he cleaned, Don remembered when he had first heard of Kaylynn's death. He couldn't believe it! His first thought had been of his son. Donald was safe inside the walls of the Pleasantview Orphanage. Don decided to not make any hasty decisions. He decided to leave Donald right where he was for the time being. What else could he do? Cassandra wasn't likely going to allow him to bring his illegitimate son to live with them, was she? He would just have to wait and think this thing through.
Don thought of Donald as he cleaned up the home his son had lived in with Kaylynn. He decided to just call the orphanage and ask how Donald was doing. Don dialed the orphanage and spoke with the administrator. "Donald Langerak has already found a new home. It was a private adoption so I can't give you any more information, Mr. Lothario. Don't worry...we check out our applicants very carefully. You can be sure he was adopted into a wonderful family!" Don could hardly believe what he had just heard.
Bringing his hands to his face, Donald wept softly. He wept for the loss of his son. He wept for Kaylynn...he had not done right by her and he now felt guilty. Why hadn't he tried to see his son more often? Was he lost to him forever?
Don went outside into the sunshine. He needed to get out of that house...that morgue. Kaylynn's headstone lay in the back yard, nestled beneath the fruit trees in a shady spot. What would Don do with the house now? His life suddenly felt as empty as the jar he looked into.

Kaylynn Returns To Work

Kaylynn had to go back to work. Her savings was nearly gone now. She hated to have to leave little Donald, but she didn't have a choice. She had gotten a new job as a lab assistant and made a little more money than she did while working as a maid. Kaylynn felt sad as she said goodbye to Donald that first morning.
She couldn't wait to return home that evening. She quickly showered, changed from her work clothes, and went to hold little Donald. "I missed you so much" Kaylynn whispered to her son, holding him close.
Each day Donald seemed to grow a littl more. Kaylynn was so thankful for the nanny. She was very competent and seemed to really care for Donald. Kaylynn knew Donald was getting the best of care while she was away at work.
Don continued to stop by either before or after work to see his son. Kaylynn was happy that Don was showing an interest in their child. He would definately need a father figure in his life as he got older. Even one that was only available part-time.

Darren and Kaylynn In Love

Darren sat beside Kaylynn. He drew her close in his arms. Oh...she felt so good. Why had he waited so long to see her again?
Leaning close, Darren kissed Kaylynn passionately. How he loved this woman! He wanted more of her. He couldn't get enough of her. Kaylynn was so happy. Darren did love her too!
Kaylynn and Darren kissed both tenderly and passionately. Their passion was ignited and grew stronger as they drew closer to each other.
Realizing that they were not alone in the house, Kaylynn and Darren sat close, snuggling and whispering sweet nothings into each others ear.
Don came out of the bedroom. He had bathed Donald and put him to bed. He approached Kaylynn and Darren. Standing in front of them, Don stared down at the two of them in disgust. "Don't forget you have my baby in there", said Don as he headed out the door.

Don Meets Donald

Kaylynn eventually sold her home and bought a new...smaller home just across the street from where Don's old home was. Don still owned that home as well, even though he lived in the Goth mansion. And now this home was in his name as well. Darren decided to stop by Kaylynn's home. He wanted to see her new son...and he wanted to see her. He had missed her so much. Darren arrived and rang the doorbell. Just then, he turned around and saw Don Lothario a few feet away. They stood, staring silently at each other.
Kaylynn opened the door. She saw Darren standing there. She was so happy to see him that she grabbed him and kissed him warmly. Kaylynn had not seen Don standing behind Darren. Both Kaylynn and Darren seemed a little embarrassed when they realized that Don was watching. "I've come to see my son, Kaylynn. I hope this is a good time!" said Don, sarcastically. He was not happy to see Darren and he definately was not happy that she had kissed him like that. He ignored Darren, not speaking to him. "Come on in. He's in his crib." Kaylynn told Don. She wanted to get both Don and Darren in the house and off the street. She was afraid that Don might make a scene and she wanted to avoid that from happening. Don stood beside the crib and looked at his son.
Don held Donald, snuggling him close. He walked to the kitchen to get a bottle for his son. Don fed his son the bottle, talking and cooing the while Donald drank the milk. Don could not help smiling proudly.
Kaylynn watched in astonishment as Don fed Donald and held him. Don really had surprised her. She never expected that Don would care so much. Yes, he said he wanted to be in his son's life...but she hadn't believed him. She looked at Don with a new respect.

Don Asks Kaylynn

Don asked his friend Daniel Pleasant to invite both himself and Kaylynn over at the same time. Daniel hadn't seen Kaylynn for quite some time, and he wanted to know the truth as well. Daniel had once been very interested in Kaylynn. He knew this child wasn't his. He had tried...oh yes, he had tried. But Kaylynn had turned down his advances cold. So Daniel planned for Kaylynn and Don to meet at his house today. No one but himself would be home. Don stood facing Kaylynn. He had not seen her since the day of his wedding many months ago. They stood, staring silently at one another. Daniel, Kaylynn and Don sat in the living room in awkward silence. Daniel couldn't remember a time when he felt more uncomfortable. Should be stay? Or should be leave the two of them alone? He didn't know. He just wished someone would say...something...anything. He didn't know how much longer he could take this awful silence.
Don fixed some lunch for himself and his guests. Don finished eating and placed his dish in the sink. Kaylynn sat at the table, unable to eat. She and Don looked at each other as Don walked past."This is stupid," thought Don. "If I don't talk to her...ask her...then I'll leave not knowing any more than when I got here." Don followed Kaylynn into the bathroom. "Kaylynn, I need to know. Am I the father of the child you are carrying?" Don held his breath, waiting for the answer he was sure would come. "Yes," whispered Kaylynn softly, "You are the father. But don't worry. No one will know. And besides...there's someone else in life now." He wasn't sure just why, but the thought of someone else raising his child was distasteful to Don. "Wait a minute! If this is my child, then I want him or her to know who I am...their real father. And I want to have a place in his or her life!" Kaylynn looked at Don with surprise and a new respect. "Okay, Don. I want you to be a part of our child's life as well." Secretly, Kaylynn wondered if Don would follow through with wht he had said. I guess she would just have to wait and see. She hoped he was sincere because her child would need a mother and a father.

Don led Kaylynn upstairs. He lay her across his bed. He then proceeded to make love to her. Afterwards, they got in the hot tub. Don wanted the chance to talk to Kaylynn. Now that his passion had been spent, he could think more clearly. He knew that he would have to say goodbye to her. Today should not have happened. He HAD tried...really, he had. Don kissed Kaylynn. He then said to her, "Kaylynn, you know that I care for you very much. I will always remember the times we have spent together. But you know of my engagement to Cassandra. We won't be able to see each other like this anymore...at least for now. Maybe after the wedding, I can give you a call sometime?" This was certainly not what Kaylynn had wanted to hear. What had she been thinking? She knew he was engaged. But she wanted him to break up with Cassandra. She wanted him to marry her...to want to be with her forever...to feel the same way about her that she did for him. She realized that he didn't love her...that he had never loved her. Why, he was nothing but a cheater!
Kaylynn put on her uniform and quickly left the house. She never wanted to see Don again!
Don went to the kitchen and made some lunch. In a way, he was relieved that it was finally over. She was just too clingy for him. He never promised her anything...except a good time. At least he had learned something very important for future references. Never woo-hoo with the hired help!

Don and Kaylynn

Kaylynn arrived early the next morning as scheduled. Don was still in his pajamas. After his close call with Nina, Don had no intention of being involved with another woman again. After all, he would soon be a married man. Don stood at the kitchen counter, concentrating on fixing some toast for breakfast. He tried to ignore Kaylynn altogether. He was honestly sorry that he had gotten involved with her at all. Kaylynn was confused, and more than a little hurt at Don's coolness towards her. After the other day she thought...she wasn't sure what she had expected. She had thought of nothing else since that day. He had said he would call. She had stayed home waiting...but he never did. Kaylynn walked over and stood in front of Don, looking at him...wanting...something...anything but this coldness. Don looked into Kaylynn's eyes, he could tell that he had hurt her. "Come here, beautiful!, Don said as he drew Kaylynn into his arms. He couldn't stand to see her hurt...not because of him. He felt guilty for the other day. He should never have encouraged her and gotten involved romantically with her. Kaylynn smiled brightly as Don took her into his arms. How quickly her tears turned to joy.
Don held Kaylynn's hand, bringing it up to his lips and kissing it softly. Ahhh, her skin was so soft...so smooth. Don knew that he had the power to bring great joy to Kaylynn. Why should he deprive her...and himself, for that matter...of such joy? Don drew closer and kissed Kaylynn on her soft lips. Kaylynn knew that she had fallen in love with Don. But did he love her too?

Kaylynn Leaves

It was, indeed, getting late. Kaylynn got dressed, said goodbye to Don, and left. Don had kissed her on the forehead and told her he would call. She was glad to be outside, breathing in the fresh air. She needed to think. What had she done? Had she fallen in love with Don?
She continued to think of Don...of the day. She hadn't meant for anything to happen between them. She knew he was engaged to be married. What hope was there for the two of them? No, she doubted she would sleep much tonight.

Don and Kaylynn

Don stood for a while, watching Kaylynn. Then he thought, "Why shouldn't I join her. After all, it's my hot tub. If she doesn't like it she doesn't have to stay in!" Don put on his swim suit and hopped in.
Kaylynn felt suddenly shy, and not a little afraid. She looked away because if she looked at him she would surely fall under his spell. They talked of unimportant things...anything to keep her mind from wondering. Wondering...what would it feel like to be kissed by Don? Don slowly moved closer to Kaylynn until he was sitting right next to her. He didn't want to frighten her. He wanted to kiss her. Oh, how he wanted to kiss her. When she turned toward him, he could no longer resist.
As he pressed his lips to hers, Kaylynn threw her arms around Don's neck. It was one of the most passionate kisses Don had ever experienced. Kaylynn had waited so long for this. There was no stopping the floodgates of her passion. Don was surprised, but very pleasantly so.
He made love to her right there. Afterwards, Kaylynn turned her back so that he could not see her tears. Don checked the clock on his deck. It was getting late, and he needed to get ready soon for his night out. Yes, today had been a good day...no, a great day...after all. Don had not felt bored at all!

Kaylynn Langerak

Kaylynn Langerak always looked forward to the days when she knew she would get to see Don. She knew she shouldn't like him, but she couldn't help it. He was always so nice and sweet to her. He made her feel good, and she could tell that he was attracted to her. She was definately attracted to him! They had become friends, and he always asked her to stay and talk after she had completed her work. She always had a lot of work to do at Don's house because he did not like to clean. Somehow she didn't mind. She often fantasized that she and Don were married and she was at their home, cleaning their home. Don really enjoyed talking to Kaylynn. He really liked the way she looked...especially in that hot little uniform she wore. He thought she looked amazing in it! Don knew that Kaylynn liked him, and she liked him alot! It would only take a word...a gesture...and he knew she would be his. Kaylynn looked around. The place was now spotless. She had worked hard today. Now she was ready to relax. Don had told her she could use the hot tub any time she wanted to. And today she wanted to. Kaylynn slipped into her bathing suit and slowly sat down in the steamy waters of the hot tub. Oh, it felt so good after a hard day's work! Maybe one day she could afford one of her own. She was saving every penny for a down payment on her own home. She had splurged and bought a new bathing suit. It was blue...her favorite color. She hoped Don would think she looked good in it.
Don watched Kaylynn from a short distance away. He looked at her profile. He thought she was beautiful. She made him feel serene and calm. Should he? No...it wouldn't be fair. He knew that Kaylynn was naive and innocent, not really his type of woman at all. Yet...he found her innocence and sexiness very alluring. She was so hard to resist. Especially when he knew she really liked him.
