After Mortimer's death, Cassandra began to spend more of her time at work and it was paying off. She was getting promotions, and bringing home more money. She and Sandy Bruty became very good friends. Sandy came home often with Cassandra from work. Casey was getting good care from the nanny, so Cassandra didn't have to worry about that.
One evening when Cassandra was working late, Don asked Nina to stop by. He hadn't seen her for a while, and he had missed her. Don lightly kissed Nina upon her arrival.
